Module summary
The sharing economy and the circular economy are not synonyms but are strictly related and complementary.
It is a real challenge to define the sharing economy, particularly considering how widespread the term’s usage is, and definitions are often mixed in with a range of other vocabulary, including peer-to-peer economy, collaborative economy, on-demand economy and collaborative consumption.
For this reason it is crucial to understand what sharing and circular economies are and how sharing and collaborative models fit in with the circular economy. In this module, the following topics will help participants understanding and handling main issues related to sharing and circular economy:
